Course: Certificate III Financial Services, Insurance Broking.

Offered by: National Insurance Brokers Association College

Why did you choose this course?

It's the theory behind my job in domestic insurance, I need it so I can to give the right advice to clients.

Is it what you expected?

I expected it to be boring. It is a lot of work, but very interesting. It helps with what I do day to day, selling people insurance for their house, boat, car and rental properties.

What have you learnt?

Working in a financial services office environment, accounting, broking and how to match the right cover with the right person. Finance isn't as boring as most would think. Working in the domestic side you deal directly with people, not big companies.

How will it help you in your job?

Everyone needs insurance for everything. The course will give me a better understanding of the industry and how to provide quotes and work out people's insurance. It is the first step in my (hopefully long) career in the finance industry.

Cost? I'm doing it as a traineeship through work, by correspondence.
